Applications are open for the ACU Martha Farrell Memorial Fellowship 2019 The Martha Farrell Memorial Fellowship makes use of the Martha Farrell Structure’s know-how to use a team member from an ACU member university training and assistance so that they can present a reliable anti-sexual harassment effort at their house university.
2 fellowships are offered in2019 One will be granted to a candidate from East Africa, and one from Asia. The fellowships use a one-week training program hosted by the Martha Farrell Structure in New Delhi, India. As part of the application, candidates will require to send a summary action strategy demonstrating how their house organization can deal with the problem of unwanted sexual advances on school. The training will use useful services and recommendations for the application of the strategy.
6 months after going back to their organization, the fellow will send an in-depth report demonstrating how the training has actually allowed them to put their action strategy into impact. Travel will happen in September or October2019 The specific dates will be gone over with the effective candidate.
Dr Martha Farrell was director of PRIA’s gender program and campaigned relentlessly for ladies’s rights, gender equality and adult education. In 2015, while in Afghanistan to lead a gender training workshop, she was amongst 14 individuals eliminated in a Taliban attack. The Martha Farrell Structure was established in her memory to continue her work.
- Fellows will get financed return economy travel to New Delhi and lodging, regional travel, and nourishment while carrying out the training. In addition, a grant of as much as GBP ₤1000 can be declared for research study expenses and other expenses occurring from the fellowship.
