Applications are open for the AGRECOL Overseas Internship in Environmentally Focused Farming2019 The Association for Farming & Ecology (Agrecol e.V.) in Germany provides internship positionings and take a trip stipends for trainees registered in universities and colleges in German-speaking nations.
In 2019, the Association can set up 2 internship positionings in environmentally oriented farming with partner organisations in South America (Mollesnejta, Bolivia) and in West Africa (Agrecol-Afrique, Senegal). The internship provides trainees a chance to get useful understanding in sustainable farming and land management in an establishing nation. By living and operating in another sociocultural environment, trainees can likewise get important intercultural experiences.
Expense
- The Agrecol Association in Germany covers the travel expenses for a round-trip flight in between Europe and Bolivia or Senegal.
Eligibility
- Open to the trainees registered in universities and colleges in German-speaking nations;-LRB- *************).
- Have standard understanding and/or experience in handling organised groups (for small production, processing and marketing of farming items);-LRB- *************).
- Have their own laptop computer or note pad that they can utilize throughout the internship;-LRB- *************).
- Have standard understanding about (eco-friendly) farming;-LRB- *************).
- Are interested and delicate in dealing with smallholder farmers in various sociocultural contexts;-LRB- *************).
- Are vibrant, open and dedicated;-LRB- *************).
- Program high levels of self-reliance and self-organising capability
- Have an adequate command of Spanish (Bolivia)/ French (Senegal) to be able to operate in this language (interview will be made by Skype with Agrecol– Andes/Afrique);-LRB- *************).
- Are under 30 years of age.
