The Alltech Young Researcher (AYS) competitors started in 2005 as an expression of Dr. Pearse Lyons’ enthusiasm for interest and development within education. As a researcher, he comprehended the difficulties of research study and the enjoyment that features advancements that might fix genuine issues. Through the Alltech Young Researcher program, he wished to produce a more detailed connection in between the class and the farming difficulties happening in the field and on the farm. Most notably, he wished to influence and display the skills of college student who represent tomorrow’s options for our world’s shared future.

The Alltech Young Researcher competitors challenges the world’s brightest college student to use their clinical know-how to difficulties within business of farming and food. They contend at the local and worldwide level by sending clinical documents on subjects within the location of farming science.

Through this competitors, we intend to construct a neighborhood of ingenious agriscientists and motivate them to pursue professions in farming. Currently, we are advancing this objective through collaborations and research study alliances with over 1,200 universities all over the world.

Requirements:

  • The competitors is now open specifically to university college student (Master and Ph.D. level).

Alltech Young Researcher Discovery Week

Discovery Week consists of:

  • Mentorship– Alltech researchers and expert specialists share scholastic and profession insights
  • Discussion Training– The Alltech group will assist finalists practice their discussions and use important guidance
  • Worldwide Competitors– Finalists provide their research study in front of a panel of worldwide judges and audience members
  • ONE: The Alltech Concepts Conference— Knowing and networking chance with over 3000 individuals from all over the world, interaction with journalism and media, and relationships and experiences to last a life time!
Regional Competitors *

Trainees initially contend within their house area.
We recognize 4 areas worldwide: The United States and Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe/Africa.
The leading trainees from each area are granted with prize money and certificates.
The first location winner from each area advances to the Worldwide Competitors and is described as an ‘AYS finalist’.

Worldwide finals!

The AYS finalists from all 4 areas are welcomed to go to an all-expense-paid Discovery Week in Lexington, Kentucky, U.S.A.. This journey consists of mentoring sessions with Alltech researchers, the worldwide competitors and the chance to go to ONE: The Alltech Concepts Conference. Each finalist will provide his/her paper in front of a panel of judges and the worldwide winner will be revealed on phase throughout the conference.
