The Alltech Young Researcher (AYS) Competitors 2018 is open. The Alltech Young Researcher competitors obstacles college students to use their clinical competence to obstacles within business of farming and food. The goal is to develop a neighborhood of ingenious agriscientists and motivate them to pursue professions in farming.

The AYS competitors started in 2005 as an expression of Dr. Pearse Lyons’ enthusiasm for interest and development within education. As a researcher, he comprehended the obstacles of research study and the enjoyment that features advancements that might fix genuine issues.

Through the Alltech Young Researcher program, he wished to develop a better connection in between the class and the farming obstacles happening in the field and on the farm. Most notably, he wished to motivate and display the skills of college student who represent tomorrow’s options for our world’s shared future.

The Competitors and Prizes

Regional:

  • Trainees initially contend within their house area. They determine 4 areas worldwide: The United States and Canada, Latin America, Asia Pacific and Europe/Africa.
  • The leading trainees from each area are granted with prize money and certificates.
  • The first location winner from each area advances to the Worldwide Competitors and is described as an ‘AYS finalist’.

Prizes

  • Regional 1st Location Reward Graduate = $2000 Money USD
  • Regional second Location Reward Graduate = $1000 Money USD

Worldwide Finals!

The AYS finalists from all 4 areas are welcomed to participate in an all-expense-paid Discovery Week in Lexington, Kentucky, U.S.A.. This journey consists of mentoring sessions with Alltech researchers, the worldwide competitors and the chance to participate in ONE: The Alltech Concepts Conference. Each finalist will provide his/her paper in front of a panel of judges and the worldwide winner will be revealed on phase throughout the conference.

Discovery Week consists of:

  • Mentorship– Alltech researchers and expert specialists share scholastic and profession insights
  • Discussion Training– The Alltech group will assist finalists practice their discussions and provide important suggestions
  • Worldwide Competitors– Finalists provide their research study in front of a panel of global judges and audience members
  • ONE: The Alltech Concepts Conference– Knowing and networking chance with over 3000 individuals from around the globe, interaction with journalism and media, and relationships and experiences to last a life time!

Prizes

  • Worldwide Graduate 1st Location Reward: $10,000 Money USD

Eligibility

College student (Master and Ph.D. level)
