To promote the advancement of kids’s literature in Nigeria, Goethe-Institut Nigeria is arranging a workshop for 6 kids ´ s storybook authors and 6 illustrators from 17 to 21 March 2019 in Lagos, Nigeria. Ute Krause, among Germany ´ s best-known kids ´ s book author and illustrator, along with Nigerian illustrator Abdulkareem Baba Aminu, will carry out the workshop. The job intends to promote and support the advancement of genuine kids’s literature that shows the cultural and social truth in Nigeria.
If you are an author of kids’s books dealing with a book job, kindly send out a brief summary of your deal with some info about yourself (not longer than 1-2 A4 pages) in pdf.
Interested illustrators or graphic designers must have a background in art/graphic design/illustration and an outstanding understanding of the essentials of illustration (facial expressions, motion, viewpoint, design). Illustrators must offer a brief bio (ca. 60 -100 words) and a portfolio of their art work without any more than 5 operate in pdf. Individuals will be anticipated to deal with paper/ink and paint.
Allowance of locations will be made based upon the submission of work samples.
Interested authors and illustrators can use separately or as a group. Private authors and illustrators will be matched together as a group throughout the workshop.
The language of interaction throughout the workshop is English. We are searching for individuals that are extremely inspired and want to strive throughout the workshop and after.

The workshop keeps up an all the time schedule (9am– 4pm) from Sunday, 17 to 21 March 2019.
Lodging expenditures and meal expenditures (Breakfast and lunch) are covered by Goethe-Institut Nigeria. All travel expenditures should be covered separately. The workshop is complimentary.
