Applications are open for the IIE/ATI Fellowship and Scholarship Fund 2019/2020 The ATI FSF intends to enhance the capability of scientists and experts in Malawi in high-priority locations that will assist the nation change its farming sector by decreasing reliance on tobacco exports.

The ATI FSF is used to Malawian people and homeowners to pursue master’s or postdoctoral research study and/or research study in the locations of farming, service, information science, ecology/environment, economics or engineering. The Fellowship and Scholarship Fund (FSF) is moneyed by the Agricultural Change Effort (ATI).

Advantages

Receivers of the Agricultural Change Effort (ATI) Fellowship and Scholarship Fund (FSF) for graduate research study or postdoctoral research study will be qualified for the following advantages:

  • Roundtrip air travel in between Malawi and university in the United States or South Africa

Eligibility

The ATI FSF supports master’s and postdoctoral research study and/or research study in the following disciplines: farming, service, information science, ecology/environment, economics or engineering.

Master’s Prospects: Master’s programs will start in Fall 2020 in the United States for 2 years. Candidates ought to:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree
  • Citizenship or residency in Malawi
  • Strong interest in pursuing a master’s level program in the disciplines of farming, service, information science, ecology/environment, economics or engineering
  • No age restricts use
  • Dedication to the advancement objectives of Malawi
  • Desire to go back to Malawi for a minimum of 2 years after graduate school to operate in a sector associated to their master’s or postdoctoral program

Postdoctoral Candidates: Postdoctoral awards will start in early 2020 in South Africa. This award might be one to 2 years.

  • A terminal degree (for instance a Ph.D. or Ed.D.) in a discipline pertinent to the objectives of the ATI
  • Strong interest in pursuing postdoctoral study/research in the disciplines and sub-fields of farming, service, information science, ecology/environment, economics or engineering
  • Citizenship or residency in Malawi
  • Current university graduates, early profession experts in the personal or public sector, early-career professors and personnel in Malawian universities
  • No age limitation uses
  • Dedication to the advancement objectives of Malawi
  • Desire to go back to Malawi for a minimum of 2 years after the fellowship to operate in a sector associated to their master’s or postdoctoral program
