The International Women’s Media Structure (IWMF) welcomes applications for the Adelante Reporting Effort Fellowship to U.S./ Mexico Border. Adelante is the IWMF’s Latin America reporting effort that looks for to lower the gender space in the area by providing females reporters the chances and abilities to magnify their voices and to advance in their professions.

As part of the IWMF’s Latin America reporting effort, Adelante, 6 sets of reporters will take a trip to the U.S./ Mexico border from February 22 to March 14,2019 Reporting fellows will start their journey in Mexico City, where they will finish a detailed security and emergency treatment training from February 23 toFebruary 26,2019 Fellows will then leave for 6 days of reporting in Tijuana with chance to report from Mexicali, Ensenada, and San Diego, from February 28 to March 5, followed by 7 days of reporting, based in Ciudad Juárez with chance to report from El Paso and Las Cruces, from March 7 to March 13.

Fellows will have the chance to network with other reporters, report collaboratively with their colleagues and peers, and gain access to a range of sources and websites connected to their reporting. The expediency of journeys beyond the base areas in Mexico will be examined on a case-by-case basis and figured out by IWMF security procedures. Any travel should be within a 3 hour radius of the base areas.

Eligibility

All group candidates should fulfill the following eligibility requirements:

Application

The IWMF’s 2019 U.S./ Mexico Reporting Fellowship is open to sets of reporters. People can not use. Both candidates should fulfill the eligibility requirements and send a joint application.
