Applications are welcomed for the Miss.Africa Digital Seed Financing Program 2019 The Miss.Africa Effort led by DCA Academy, is revealing a Seed Fund in Africa that will provide grants to support females and women in the Science, Innovation, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields to introduce or broaden their own efforts that will increase their digital chances in IT associated training, tasks and management functions.

The program has an interest in discovering effective activities that are presently supporting females and women in STEM, and through this effort, they determine how they may support scalability and their effects.

Grant

  • The Seed Grant for the quantity 5 Thousand United States dollars ( USD $5,000) will help the winning effort to begin or broaden their capability;-LRB- **************).
  • A 2nd classification of One Thousand United States Dollars ( USD $1,000) will be given as a reward for 2 other candidates from emerging African nations that develop more socio-economic worth for females by efficiently leveraging tech chances.

Eligibility

  • Open to existing homeowner of an African nation (consisting of North and Sub-Saharan Africa);-LRB- **************).

  • Using as a private (a minimum of 18 years of age), or an agent of a non-governmental company (NGO) or social business based in Africa;-LRB- **************).

Qualified Jobs

Choice will be provided to jobs that target under-served populations and places, take a collective method, have a high capacity for development and provide an ingenious usage of innovation.

Projects eligible for grant financing consist of, however are not restricted to:

  • Computer technology workshops and trainings for females and women
  • Early incubation of female tech business owners
  • Shows and app advancement training programs
  • Hackathons and coding bootcamp for women
