Applications are welcomed for the MLDI Southern African Digital Rights & Online Liberty of Expression Lawsuits Surgical Treatment 2019 The Media Legal Defence Effort (MLDI) is requiring applications from attorneys based in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe to take part in an upcoming lawsuits surgical treatment and training on the right to flexibility of expression online, digital rights and the web.

All candidates are needed to send an existing or possible case, including these matters, for conversation. Effective candidates will go to the lawsuits surgical treatment and enter of a digital rights legal network through which there will be chances for engagement both regionally and worldwide.

Goals of the Lawsuits Surgical Treatment

The goals of the lawsuits surgical treatment are:

Eligibility

  • The surgical treatment is open to attorneys who work and live in Angola, Botswana, Democratic Republic of the Congo, eSwatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Candidates can either be operating in personal practice or be working for, or be associated with, NGOs promoting the right to flexibility of expression through lawsuits. Extremely strong applications will be thought about too from attorneys who have actually not yet carried out flexibility of expression work, however have experience prosecuting other human rights cases and have a strong interest in carrying out flexibility of expression work.
