Applications are open for the Pulitzer Center International Reporting Fellowship 2018/2019 The Berkley Center will choose one Georgetown trainee every year to get the Reporting Fellowship. Fellows jobs must examine or brighten the spiritual measurement of a global concern, exposing what is typically ignored, unknown, or misconstrued.

Program Information

Much of today’s global crises have a strong spiritual element, yet media protection typically leaves out or oversimplifies these intricacies and subtleties. The Berkley Center for Faith, Peace, and World Affairs at Georgetown University thinks that a deep assessment of faith and worths is important to deal with today’s worldwide difficulties, which the open engagement of spiritual and cultural customs with one another can promote peace.

The Pulitzer Fellow will invest a number of weeks dealing with Pulitzer Center editors in Washington, D.C., and a minimum of 2 weeks in the field dealing with the global reporting task. Working carefully with the Pulitzer Center, receivers will develop on their task proposition and pick storytelling techniques and a strategy of deliverables. Deliverables might consist of a mix of posts, photography, audio, video or other medium through which to communicate the reporting to be released on the Pulitzer Center site. Receivers are motivated to look for other outlets for their work, though these need not be consisted of in the preliminary task proposition.

Fellowship

  • Approximately $3,000 is readily available for field reporting for summertime 2019.

Eligibility

  • Any full-time undergraduate or college student registered in a Georgetown degree program (consisting of May 2019 graduates) is welcome to use;-LRB- **************).
