The Sundance Institute Theatre Program offers a catalytic procedure of creative advancement for independent theatre-makers in the U.S. and worldwide, utilizing a variety of artist-driven engagement chances that link, support and sustain artists and their tasks throughout their professions.

After the 2018 Theatre Laboratory in Morocco, the Theatre Program will go back to its homebase in Utah. The 2019 Theatre Laboratory invites theatre artists from the United States and the Middle East & North Africa (MENA). Individuals in the 21- Day residency will be picked through an open application procedure. For theatre artists using from Arabic-speaking nations, tasks might be sent in Arabic, English or French. Approximately 8 tasks will be picked, consisting of one task plus one playwright-in-residence from the Middle East & North Africa. Plays on any subject, musicals, dance theatre, efficiencies and solo tasks are all eligible.
