The function of this fund is to supply yearly awards for trainees registered in the Intensive English Program in the American English Institute (AEI) at the University of Oregon (UO). Thanks to a generous contribution on behalf of Janet Hughes Mersereau, the AEI has the ability to award 4 two-term competitive scholarships to extensive English trainees. Scholarships use to the Intensive English Program (IEP) tuition just.
Awardees will be accountable for staying expenses, consisting of the AEI application cost, airline tickets, visa application expenses, UO medical insurance, UO necessary charges, space and board, which are detailed on the AEI site.
The Janet Hughes Mersereau scholarship asks trainees to act as ambassadors for the program, talking to potential trainees about their experience in the AEI and at the UO. Scholarships are based upon language capability, scholastic benefit (3.0 GPA), and future objectives (per an initial draft essay).
Trainees are needed to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater and should require English language training. This award is for extensive English research study only.YOU MAY LIKE

- Send out records from your most just recently went to school revealing a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
- Send an initial draft, unedited essay in your own words explaining your existing goals/plans and future scholastic and/or expert strategies within 5 years after your scholastic profession at the UO. It is essential that the submission be an unedited initial draft. Modified essays can be premises for exemption.
