Request the Web Society Fellowship to the Web Engineering Job Force (IETF) Program 2018/2019 The Web Society Fellowships to the IETF are for Web Society members from emerging or establishing economies who have the technical abilities and experience to add to the work of the IETF.

The primary functions of the program are to:

  • Raise international awareness about the IETF and its work.
  • Foster higher understanding of, and involvement in, the work of the IETF by technologists from emerging and establishing economies.
  • Offer a chance for connecting with people from all over the world with comparable technical interests.
  • Identify and foster possible future leaders from emerging and establishing economies, and
  • Show the Web neighborhood’s dedication to cultivating higher international involvement in Web Online forums such as the IETF.

Expectations for the Fellows

Web Society Fellows are anticipated to:

  • Prepare in advance of the IETF conference by checking out appropriate IETF files and working- seminar in their locations of interest;-LRB- **************).
  • Participate in the IETF beginners tutorial, plenary sessions, and working-group sessions throughout the week;-LRB- **************).
  • Share the experience and understanding got at the IETF with their regional neighborhoods when they return house;-LRB- **************).
  • Take Part In the NGL program individual network; and
  • Assist with administrative elements of the program, consisting of conclusion of a follow-up study.


Web Society Fellows to the IETF get:

  • Be utilized in a technical or technical management capability with an information network service provider (consisting of university networks), an innovation supplier, a regional technical association, or other comparable organisation OR be a university-level computer system science/information innovation teacher, speaker, or trainee presently carrying out research study in several locations of present IETF standardisation work. Trainees need to be registered in a graduate-level program (Masters or Ph.D);-LRB- **************).
