In the interest of boosting transatlantic exchange and partnership, the West African Research Study Association, with financing from the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the United States State Department, provides Residencies for WARA member organizations to host a West African Scholar on their school.
Each residency will last 4-8 weeks and will supply the going to scholar with chances for library research study, visitor lecturing, and/or collective deal with American coworkers. Please note that residencies are short-term exchanges and are not implied to fill professors positions.
WARA will pay the round-trip travel expenses of the chosen scholar in addition to a stipend of $3500 to assist cover meals and regional transport expenses. Host organizations are motivated to supply extra assistance in the type of real estate, workplace, library opportunities, lab centers, or other assistances for the duration of the residency.
All applications should be sent online and will consist of:
